The brief for this lovely holiday-let was to sympathetically combine traditional features with modern comforts. Leaving only one wall standing, we rebuilt 95% of the building, completing a re-wire, re-plumb, adding three bathrooms, a custom-built kitchen, new traditional sash and case windows, underfloor heating (ground floor) and a rear extension to the property. To maintain the authenticity and integrity of the building we re-used and sourced as many traditional materials and features as possible. We loved the challenge of working with the different materials, including local stone and slate.
