Having been rented for many years, were tasked with giving this quaint one bedroom flat a full make-over. For this project we received a full design and build instruction, giving us free rein on all finishing choices within a set budget.
A challenging but fun back-to-brick refurbishment saw us undertaking a full re-wire, adding gas central heating (previously electric), plastering, adding a new kitchen and a modern bathroom suite. Having received an open brief, we wanted to challenge ourselves by reinstating/creating a period feature in each room. We restored a Victorian fireplace in the bedroom, stripped and refurbished the existing floorboards in the living room and created a feature wall in the kitchen.
